Leisure Tech Expo to spotlight industry trends of tomorrow
The first ever London Technology Week – to run from 16-20 June – will be bolstered by the inaugural Leisure Tech Expo (LTE), a one-day event designed to showcase the latest industry uses for digital innovations.
Taking place at The O2 Arena on Tuesday 17 June, LTE will showcase the potential of various technologies, including Ginicam, 3D scanning, augmented reality, Oculus Rift, Google Glass and 3D printing.
In addition, the one-day-event will include a key-note address from global experience guru and author Joseph Pine, sessions with the founders of Eventbrite Julia and Kevin Hartz, vice president of National Accounts at Groupon Richard Jones, business start-up expert Mike Southon, Founder of Student Beans James Eder, plus presentations from Eventbrite, Microsoft, TripAdvisor, Monitise, Cineworld and The O2 operator AEG.
"Leisure Tech Expo is an interactive immersive showcase of the latest products, developments and software for the leisure sector,” said LTE manager Emily Jane Brown.
“The aim is to help people learn how new technologies can be harnessed to help engage customers, visitors and the public, but more importantly how they can generate revenue."
