The Institute of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL), the awarding body for Lifesavers, The Royal Lifesaving Society, has launched a certificated training programme for people who do not have direct responsibility for people's safety, but do need to know about water safety as part of their jobs.

The one-day training course aims to meet individual circumstances and covers pool, open water and outdoor activities, as well as basic resuscitation skills.
