Lilleshall National Sports Centre has become only the second sports centre in the UK to receive a rating of ‘Excellent’ within the Quest benchmarking system.

The centre, operated by Leisure Connection on behalf of Sport England, was awarded 85 per cent in its recent assessment.

Graham Farrant, CEO of Leisure Connection, said: "We are delighted to have received this result at Lilleshall and we are looking forward to the centre playing a key role in the lead up to 2012.

“The achievement makes us even more passionate and determined to achieve similar scores across our other sites in the near future.

“We are extremely pleased with our accomplishments over the last year and plan to build on these successes and achieve even more in the next 12 months."
