London Transport Museum reopens
The London Transport Museum in Covent Garden has reopened following a two-year refurbishment and redesign project costing £22.4m.
The updated museum explores the link between transport and the growth of modern London, culture and society since 1800.

New zones include the World Cities Gallery, featuring pioneering transport systems around the world; the Futures Gallery, on how our actions might impact on the environment in 50 years time and the Metro-land Gallery, which shows how commuter lifestyles changed between the wars, and a Design Gallery showcasing the original artwork for the London Underground map.
Visitors can also enjoy a new interactive learning zone aimed at children and dine at the Upper Deck café bar.
