Luxury spa to launch at Norton House
A new day spa is to open in December as part of a £13.5m (19.8m euro, US$27m) redevelopment of Scotland’s Norton House hotel in Edinburgh.
Located in the Walled Garden area of the hotel, below the new conference suite, the 13,777sq ft (1,280sq m) Norton House Spa has been designed by Steve Tabb of Fletcher Joseph, with interiors by Iain MacLeod of Thompson MacLeod.
The spa will use ESPA products and feature seven treatment rooms as well as one double’s suite. There will also be manicure and pedicure stations, a rasul mud room, a hydrotherapy pool, experience showers, a crystal therapy room and a relaxation area.
Speaking about the redevelopment, General Manager for Norton House, Ronnie MacKay, said: “Our investment, according to a comparative study by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, will generate £14m (e19.7m, US$28.9m) for the city, underlining the significance of the development for Edinburgh.”
Owned by Handpicked Hotels, Norton House is the seventh property out of its portfolio of 14 hotels to have health or wellness facilities added to its services.
