MTFC fans told 'pay what you want'
Mansfield Town Football Club (MTFC) has handed its supporters the chance to decide their own admission price for the club's Blue Square Premier game with Gateshead Football Club (GFC) on 6 February.
Fans will be able to turn up on the day as part of the one-off pricing strategy and pay any amount at the turnstile, as well as having the opportunity to sit anywhere inside the club's Field Mill stadium - except the North Stand and Season Ticket Holders' seats. GFC supporters will also be able to benefit from the "pay what you want - sit where you want" offer, which MTFC chair Andrew Perry said was an attempt to say thank you to supporters.
Perry said: "The town has supported us since the takeover of the club and we are now giving something back to the community by allowing people to come to the match for a price which they decide."
