Mandala Spa’s management arm has signed its first contract with luxury property management company HSAI-Raintree to operate a spa at a new resort development called Discovery Shores on Boracay Island in the Philippines.

Mandala Spa first opened on the south western island of Boracay in 2004 as a straightforward day spa.

As guests began to show an interest in staying over, owners Dieter Schrottmann and Karen Villarica Reina soon decided to add accommodation on available land and turned Mandala into a tropical spa retreat.

In October last year, the couple established Mandala Spa Management Services Inc, to provide turnkey management solutions to those wanting to establish hotel, resort or standalone spas.
