Maybourne reveals Surrenne Riviera in France with outdoor studios
The Maybourne Riviera has unveiled its second-ever wellness and longevity members club, Surrenne, at its new hotel in France.
Brand new imagery shows the 89-key hotel’s Surrenne Riviera club, which offers three floors of health and wellness facilities, with sweeping views over the French commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and the Mediterranean coast beyond.
This opening follows Surrenne Belgravia’s debut in London last year – a four-floor wellness private members club within The Emory (an all-suite hotel in Knightsbridge). Read more in Spa Business here.
Earlier this year, Maybourne announced it will also launch a Surrenne members club in Paris in 2027.
The Surrenne concept elevates Maybourne’s wellbeing programming for hotel guests but it is also a private members club. Members get exclusive access to the facilities and retreats at each Surrenne location.
Surrenne Riviera
The entire Monégasque property was designed by Michelle Wu, global head of design at Maybourne, to be an immersive clifftop haven. Inspired by the Côte d’Azur and the healing power of water, Surrenne’s spaces have been created in a palette of calming blues, warm woods as well as Travertine and Moleanos stone.
Dylan LeChevallier, spa manager at Surrenne Riviera, told Spa Business exclusively: "We are so excited to introduce our second wellness and longevity destination, Surrenne Riviera. The space features four otherworldly studio spaces overlooking the Mediterranean, designed for indoor and outdoor private training and group classes (including Lagree Fitness).
LeChevallier continued, "The spa will offer Surrenne’s signature treatments and a contrast therapy suite, with views of three countries – France, Monaco and Italy. Surrenne Riviera is truly a sensorial experience. We look forward to welcoming guests and visitors throughout this quarter and will be launching our first wellbeing retreats later this year."
The four studios include the Surrenne Gym (with equipment by Technogym), a Performance Studio for one-to-one training, plus two spaces that open out onto the terrace without windows obstructing the view, for group classes. These two areas, called the Waves Studio and the Riviera Reflections will offer yoga, spin classes, TRX and Pilates – in collaboration with Lagree Fitness.
There is also an infinity pool, steam and sauna sanctuaries and Surrenne Riviera offers wellness rituals and fitness classes.
Memberships for this Mediterranean club are seasonal and limited, with application by request.
Treatments
Surrenne Riviera will offer holistic therapies tailored to the needs of each guest, including a ritual called I Need It All. This treatment includes a consultation and a personalised massage – using a range of techniques from deep tissue, Thai, Ayurvedic, Shiatsu and trigger point therapy.
In partnership with Biologique Recherche, facials and lymphatic drainage therapies for recovery are on the treatment menu.
Members can also access expert nutritional advice and experience cold therapy, infrared therapy, osteopathy and red light therapy at the spa.

The protocols at Surrenne’s longevity centre are guided by specialists who form Surrenne’s Scientific Advisory Board:
• Global scientific and wellbeing lead, Dr Mark Mikhail
• Triple-Harvard degree dermatologist Dr Macrene Alexiades • Elite fitness practitioner Simon Inman
