Former Bannatyne Falkirk fitness manager Ian McKinnell has joined Bannatyne’s Edinburgh club as general manager.

McKinnell made the move from the motor and engineering industry to health and fitness eight years ago. Since then he has risen through the ranks as instructor, personal trainer and fitness manager.

He says he loves the city centre buzz and has adapted services to suit time-starved clients who expect high standards.

This new appointment has also been marked with a £200,000 upgrade to the club’s facilities, which includes the installation of 49 pieces of Technogym CV equipment, new LCD televisions and a refurbishment of the changing areas.
