Flooring company Mondo is to be a Tier Three supplier to London 2012, becoming the Games' official supplier of sports flooring and equipment.

The company will supply the track and warm up track for the Olympic Stadium athletics equipment such as hurdles, high jump bars and hammer cages, as well as surface or sprung flooring for a range of disciplines including basketball, table tennis, wheelchair basketball and goalball. Mondo has agreed to provide some of the materials on a rental basis, with a pledge to reassign them after 2012 for future use.

The company - which has supplied the past nine Olympic Games, starting in Montreal in 1976 and most recently in Beijing in 2008 - will also supply technical support services, including installation, maintenance and cleaning. The deal begins with immediate effect.
