NFL set for Wembley Stadium return
The National Football League (NFL) has confirmed that a regular-season fixture will be played at London's Wembley Stadium on 31 October for the fourth consecutive year.
San Francisco 49ers, the five-time Super Bowl champions, and two-time champions Denver Broncos will contest the fixture, which could be one of two regular-season matches played in the UK during 2010. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said: "For the past three years we have seen the extraordinary passion that exists for NFL football in the UK. We want to continue to build on that passion by strengthening our ties to our existing UK fans and creating new ones."
Wembley Stadium managing director Roger Maslin added: "It is clear that there is a huge appetite for NFL in the UK and the Wembley game is without doubt one of the most popular events on our calendar."
