The Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) has launched a new formal process to secure naming rights sponsors for the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre and Multi-Use Arena.

Organisations are now being given the opportunity to associate their brands with the venues, with the OPLC inviting businesses to register their interest by 2 March.

It is hoped sponsors will be appointed in May, with each of the three facilities due to reopen as part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2013 following conversion to legacy use.

The Aquatics Centre will provide two 50m swimming pools and a diving pool, with 800,000 visitors expected each year. It will be operated by leisure trust Greenwich Leisure (GLL).

GLL will also operate the Multi-Use Arena, which is to be known as the Copper Box and is to become the capital's third largest sports arena with capacity for 7,500 spectators.

Meanwhile, the Olympic Stadium will provide a 60,000-seat multi-purpose sports venue and will be the new national home of athletics. An anchor tenant is expected to be announced in May.

OPLC chief executive Andrew Altman said: "This is a rare opportunity to become part of one of the most exciting new places in the world.

"We are looking for sponsors who share our vision to create an inclusive park that promotes healthy living and offers sporting, training and employment opportunities to our local communities."
