The Youth Sport Trust's National School Sport Week launches on Monday (30 June), with the aim of raising the profile of PE and school sport both nationally and locally.

Spearheaded by Dame Kelly Holmes, the week will "celebrate all that has been achieved in PE and school sport over the last year, launch new initiatives and developments in PE and school sport and encourage all schools to raise sport's profile at a local level".

Activities taking place during the week will include several festivals (the TOP Sportsability, Multi-skill and Multi-sport festivals) and Inter and Intra school competitions, as well as local events organised in different regions. Details: www.youthsporttrust.org
