New Neptunus structures for Dutch facility
Neptunus has completed the installation of two new semi-permanent structures at the Dutch Olympic training facility, the National Sports Centre Papendal near Arnhem, Netherlands.
The Netherlands-based company, which also relaunched in the UK in 2009, has constructed two linked Flexolution facilities offering floorspace of more than 3,000sq m (32,291sq ft).
Papendal now boasts a 1,728sq m (18,600sq ft) purpose-built table-tennis hall and a 1,224sq m (13,175sq ft) general training hall, which are built from aluminium and wood.
It is anticipated that the installation will give the complex with the necessary additional space it required to accommodate a wider range of sports ahead of the 2012 Games.
The new structures will also enable Papendal to cater for its new sports education programme, with the buildings able to be dismantled when no longer needed and the materials reused.
