New coaster topped off at Kennywood Park
A new multi-million dollar rollercoaster at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, US, has been topped off after the final 70ft (21m) section of track was put into place.
Sky Rocket, which has been designed by Premier Rides, boasts magnetic launch technology - reaching speeds of 80kmph (50mph) within two seconds – and will propel riders to a height of 95ft (29m). A series of other features - including corkscrews, wave turns and a barrel roll - also feature as part of the new rollercoaster, as well as a 90-degree drop and a zero-gravity hill.
Premier Rides president Jim Seay said: "We are extremely proud to reach this milestone and extra proud that we are providing an attraction that has generated hundreds of manufacturing and ironworker jobs right here in the US."
