New-look website launched
The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) has launched its new-look website including a FAQs section and more information for members of the public on the work it does.
Systems manager Robert McGregor explains: "We wanted to give a much more consumer friendly feel to the new site as well as offering our members the service they've come to expect from us.
"We've made the new site much more user friendly with clear areas explaining the work we do, the qualifications structure we follow, ways to find a qualified instructor and advice for those thinking of joining the industry.
"We currently have 28,000 members and before the launch of this new-look site were getting around 200,000 hits a month so a good site is vital to the continuing success of REPS."
The revamped site also features the new REPs logo, as well as information on what qualifications are recognised (both from the UK and overseas), information on ICREPS and EREPS, and a page for level 4 applications.
The new logo will be rolled out throughout 2009 and a new members' stamp will be available from the end of July.
McGregor added: "We view the site as a work in progress and hope to add more areas to it, including an updated members' area, as time goes on to help provide the best possible service to all who visit it."
The site went live on 17 June.
