Stadco, the management company which operates Swansea’s new £27m stadium, has signed a five-year deal with Swansea-based Liberty Properties, which will see the 20,000-seat venue renamed Liberty Stadium.

A spokesperson for Swansea City Football Club said the five-year deal was worth around £500,000.

Scott Gibbs, development manager of Liberty Properties, said: “We saw the chance to sponsor such a flagship stadium as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the company.

“We are a national company but our roots are based in Swansea and we’re thrilled to be supporting such an important landmark for the area.”
