Brunswick Developments has submitted amended plans to Brighton & Hove City Council for the £235m Brighton Marina scheme in response to concerns expressed by councillors over the lack of leisure facilities.

The new plans incorporate a yacht club, a public viewing gallery overlooking the Outer Harbour and coast, a teenage chillout area, an indoor/outdoor children’s play area, a boules and bowling green, a multi-purpose sports court, a community centre and larger residents’ and public gardens as well as seven cafés and restaurants.
