New sports complex planned for Sacramento

Community group Think Big Sacramento (TBS) will reveal its financing proposals for a new sports venue in the Californian city at a meeting on 8 September.
The proposals form part of a strategy to generate US$7b (£4.3b, 4.8b euro) in new economic development for the city of Sacramento.
TBS plans to build a US$ 387m (£238m, 268m euro) stadium by 2015, which would provide a tourism boost and also keep the Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team in the city.
If the plans for the new sports and entertainment facility go ahead, the venue will replace the ARCO Arena, the current home of the Sacramento Kings.
The proposed 18,685-capacity venue will boast 44 luxury suites for NBA games. The 700,000 sq ft (65,032sq m) new facility would also be able to accommodate top concerts, shows, and other events.
