The ON-X Sport and Community Centre has now opened in Linwood, part of Renfrewshire Council's £40m investment in local leisure facilities.

Designed by Cre8 Architecture and operated by Renfrewshire Leisure, the £24m complex has been designed to become a centre of excellence for sport and a base for local community sport and leisure activities. ON-X was built by BAM Construction.

Situated in the grounds of an existing sport centre, ON-X offers an eight court sports hall; doubles squash courts; a 600sq m, 100-station fitness suite; four fitness studios and a dedicated spin studio, as well as a new sand dressed floodlit pitch and an improved athletics track on the exterior.

The new sports and community centre also offers three swimming pools - a 25metre, 6-lane competition pool; a teaching pool and a leisure pool with two flumes and lazy river.

In addition to its sporting facilities, ON-X also features a centre for adults with learning disabilities and meetings, seminar, training and event space.
