Orient Express Corinthian to host Ocean Rebirth wellness retreat in collaboration with Guerlain
Orient Express Sailing Yachts and beauty house Guerlain have announced that the newly launched luxury yacht, Orient Express Corinthian, will host a fourteen-day wellness retreat called Ocean Rebirth.
Orient Express is part of Accor Group’s collection of luxury brands. In 2024, luxury goods conglomerate LVMH entered into a strategic partnership to grow the Orient Express brand. Accor and cruise liner developer Chantiers de l’Atlantique have since created sailing yachts Orient Express Corinthian and the upcoming Orient Express Olympian (due to launch in 2027).

Orient Express Corinthian
The Orient Express Corinthian underwent a naming ceremony at the start of May and it is on its way to the French Riviera for its inaugural Mediterranean season.
The 220-metre sailing yacht is the first cruise ship with a SolidSail wind propulsion system, with three rotating rigs that are adjusted based on wind direction.
With interiors by French architect and artistic director of Orient Express, Maxime d’Angeac, there are 54 suites onboard, set across four decks. There are also five restaurants and eight bars, including a 115-seat cabaret.
The yacht features a 16.5-metre swimming pool, fitness centre and a Guerlain Spa.
Guerlain Spa and Ocean Rebirth retreat
The 500sq m Guerlain Spa has four treatment rooms, including a double room for couples. Treatment beds are by Gharieni.
There are two saunas (a classic one and an infrared one), a relaxation lounge, a barber studio and a beauty salon.
The Ocean Rebirth retreat will take place between 12-26 October, during the sailing yacht’s transatlantic crossing between Lisbon in Portugal and Bridgetown in Barbados.
The Guerlain-developed programme focuses on physical regeneration and overall balance. It is structured around the brand’s four pillars of wellbeing: nutrition, movement, mindfulness and sleep.
Each guest will have an initial assessment that informs a personal programme for skincare, preventative health and longevity lifestyle changes.
Spa treatments will incorporate Guerlain’s LongeviSkin device that uses advanced aesthetic technologies, including LED, plasma and radiofrequency therapies. These treatments will be complemented by the use of Theragun recovery devices, LED masks, pressotherapy and physical health will be assessed using Technogym Check-up technology.
In addition to spa treatments, individual consultations, group workshops and guided sessions will focus on meditation, breathing exercises, nutrition and physical activities.
Five experts will accompany guests throughout the voyage:
- Guerlain International spa aesthetic creation director, Amélie Demange, will offer bespoke holistic ritual masterclasses. Some of these will incorporate crystal bowls and sound baths.
- Five-time world champion freediver and mental training specialist, Arthur Guérin-Boëri, will teach guided breathing sessions – translating the control and regulation required into methods applied to performance and resilience.
- Naturopath and nutrition specialist, Déborah Passuti, will lead personal nutrition assessments and design tailored menus with onboard chefs. She will also lead a workshop on honey. Bees are important to the Guerlain brand, not just as its emblem but because of the pollinators’ importance when it comes to producing products using ingredients found in nature. Guerlain is involved in several initiatives to protect bees.
- Former ballerina, Julie Granger, will combine dance, Pilates, yoga and functional training to help guests restore condition and tone throughout the retreat.
- Six-time world champion in deep tissue massage, Slav Marinov, will offer targeted protocols to release tension, support recovery and restore mobility.
