Outback Steakhouse opens in Stevenage
Restaurant group Outback Steakhouse has opened its sixth site in Stevenage Leisure Park, north Hertfordshire.
The £1.1m restaurant has created 70 new jobs for the area and offers 240 covers plus a separate bar.
The restaurant specialises in grain-fed steak as well as chicken, lamb, fish, pasta and seafood.
The Stevenage outlet was built on the site of a former bar called Squares.
Operations director Mike Palmer said: “Stevenage Leisure Park is one of the busiest in the UK and we are confident that Outback Steakhouse will be a successful addition.
“Our existing restaurants are going from strength to strength and we will continue to look for other sites. We believe there is great demand for our style of restaurant.”
Outback Steakhouse already has outlets in Staines, Romford, Basildon, Wandsworth and Enfield. Details: www.outback.com
