Work on a £1m redevelopment of Pingles Leisure Centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, is currently underway.

The two-phase project, which is being funded by Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust, will double the size of the gym and extend the cetre's existing studio space.

The first phase will see a mezzanine floor being built over the leisure pool, creating space for around 40 additional exercise stations, along with an extension to the exercise studio to maximise usage of the space.

The new gym will retain its current Precor equipment, as well as installing new cardio and strength units. This will include pieces from Precor's new Experience Series range, featuring the P80 touch screen console.

The second phase will begin in early November and will focus on doubling the size and improving the café, as well as repositioning the main reception area and administration office.
