Point deduction 'endangers Dundee's future'
A 25-point deduction imposed on Dundee Football Club (DFC) has 'endangered' the club's future, according to Bryan Jackson of business advisory firm PKF.
Jackson, who was named administrator of the Scottish Football League Division One club last month, said that the decision has made a "difficult task almost impossible". "While I appreciate that the [Scottish Football League] had to be seen to act when the club fell into administration for the second time it is questionable whether this punishment is not ultimately self defeating by threatening the continued existence of the club," he said.
Meanwhile, new Kidderminster Harriers Football Club chair David Reynolds has revealed that the Blue Square Bet Premier club is facing a "dire financial position". Reynolds said: "The initial findings of a review indicate that the Football Club currently has outstanding debts of more than £250,000 - 50 per cent of which is due for payment within the next few days."
