Reading FC opens academy training centre
Reading Football Club has completed the installation of a new artificial training facility to be used by its academy sides.
The centre has a three-quarter size training pitch, also marked with two five-a-side pitches, which is made from FieldTurf and was installed by UK agent ERDC.
The development also features a dome by Summit Structures, which houses the changing facilities and reception area.
Built on the back of the Madejski Stadium, the £850,000 facility has been provided primarily for use by the academy, which will have access in peak hours during the week. During the day and at weekends, the facility will be promoted for local use, with the club hoping to establish lunchtime five-a-side leagues for business users. Details: +44 (0)118 968 1202
