Redbridge Sports and Leisure Centre in London has achieved accreditation as an Inclusive Fitness Facility by The English Federation of Disability Sport.

Redbridge Sports Centre Trust made more than 70 different improvements to the facility and invested around £25,000 – on top of a £17,000 grant from the Inclusive Fitness Initiative – in order to make the centre more accessible to all members of the community.

Money was invested into new gym equipment, improved signage, upgraded changing and shower facilities, staff training schemes, improved access and new fire alarm systems.

Facilities include a 100-station fitness suite – with 1,700 members – eight indoor tennis courts, seven squash courts, 12 multi-purpose outdoor floodlit tennis and netball courts, two synthetic grass hockey pitches, a health suite and a therapy room. Details: www.rslonline.co.uk
