Register goes public
The REPs has advised those working in the fitness industry who have not yet signed up to the Register of Exercise Professionals to do so quickly.
A national media campaign increasing consumer awareness of the REPs is to get under way at the start of the new year. The campaign will advise that consumers seek the instruction of only those fitness professionals who are on the Register.
Registrar, Cliff Collins, said: “It’s time for the consumer to be made aware of our efforts to raise national standards in the industry.
“A national register of exercise professionals will increase the credibility of people who have worked hard to achieve nationally verified qualifications and will provide the consumer with a framework from which to source an exercise professional. The REPs will be receiving coverage in the national and regional media including newspapers and radio.” Details: +44 (0)845 601 6067 or email: [email protected]
