Report says branded restaurants seeing growth
The UK's branded restaurant market looks set for encouraging growth as branded chains continue to outperform independent chains, according to a new report.
Research, conducted by London-based strategic research consultancy, Allegra Strategies, shows the expected turnover for the market is around £16.4bn in 2013 and it's expected to grow as physical expansion of chains and positive performance continues.
Branded pubs forecast a £7.6bn turnover for 2013 across 8,488 establishments with annual growth of 6.0 per cent in sales while branded fast food outlets, valued at £4.5bn in turnover across 5,343 outlets, delivered an annual growth of 5.7 per cent in sales.
The Project Restaurant 2013 report on the branded restaurant market was launched at Allegra's Leader Summit in June.
