Nuo Hotels debuts new spa concept
Beijing-based Nuo hotel has developed a new spa and wellness concept inspired by the cultural and artistic achievements of the Ming Dynasty.
The Nuo Spa features interior design by HBA, and includes nine treatment rooms, private relaxation suites, extensive wet areas, a 25m (82ft) heated indoor pool, and a state-of-the-art gym. The concept was inspired by Huangdi Neijing, an ancient Chinese medical philosophy.
Treatments are designed to work in accordance with the seasons to revitalise jing, shen and chi, as well as stimulate the senses and boost body, mind and soul. The signature east-meets-west philosophy draws upon millennia of Chinese holistic wisdom in tandem with the latest spa technologies.
Global spa consultancy Resense was involved at the initial stages of design, but Nuo Hotels has developed the treatments and is operating the spa in-house.
