Rossendale sites achieve Aquamark
Rossendale Leisure Trust has successfully achieved the seal of approval for swimming lesson providers, the Aquamark quality award, for Haslingden Swimming Pool and Marl Pits Pool in Lancashire.
Both pools passed the accreditation process with premier status. Aquamark is the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) swimming programme's quality scheme and has been developed to assist providers of swimming programmes.
Carole Fairhurst, Rossendale Leisure Trust's Pools Manager, said: "It is a fantastic achievement for both centres. All the staff worked really hard towards the accreditation and are proud of what the whole team has achieved." Gary Hood, Chief Executive of Rossendale Leisure Trust, added: "This is excellent for the Trust and it's customers. It highlights the Trust's commitment to improving services and it shows that a lot of progress has been made over recent years. The achievement is a major credit to Carole Fairhurst and her team."
The sports trust manages five leisure facilities on behalf of Rossendale Borough Council.
