Sheffield United appoints new vice president
Sheffield United has appointed Didier Tandy as a vice president to open up investment and development opportunities in China.
The main focus will be on Chengdu, home of Chengdu Blades – the Chinese football club acquired by Sheffield United earlier this year.
Tandy was formerly the managing director of the Scarborough Development Group – part of Sheffield United chair Kevin McCabe’s property and development group – and has more than 20 years’ experience in property development and investment trading.
McCabe said: “Tandy will bring substantial experience and knowledge to enhance our property investment strategy to generate long-term profits. He will play a key role in China working alongside football club chair Terry Robinson to develop our interests.” Details: www.sufc.co.uk
