At the end of 2007, the new 18-acre Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatic Center opened on the western edge of La Mirada Regional Park in Los Angeles, California, US.

The waterpark boasts a variety of family attractions including slides, spray areas, play structures, a zero depth beach entry and river channel, as well as a 50m swimming pool and a 25yard pool for competition and teaching and a warm water spa for therapeutic use.

Themed around the La Mirada area’s Spanish heritage, the family area of Splash!, Buccaneer Bay, features an AquaPlay by Whitewater West marooned ship multi-level play area, plus wharf plank benches, shade canopies that resemble sails and a dramatic skull rock.

Whitewater West also supplied three SilkTek™ waterslides.
