Starwood Hotels & Resorts is set to enter Iraq with a new Aloft-branded property in 2015.

Aloft Erbil will form part of a mixed-use complex, which will also include a Sheraton hotel.

Located near the historic Citadel and Sami Abdul Rahman Park, the hotel will feature 200 guestrooms.

A fitness centre and the brand’s signature re:mix and wxyz will be on offer as well as an all-day dining restaurant and a 24-hour food and beverage area.

Earlier this year, Starwood signed the Sheraton Erbil, which will signify the re-entry of Starwood in Iraq after 20 years.

Aloft Erbil marks Starwood's third hotel in Iraq following the signings of a Sheraton hotel and a Four Points by Sheraton hotel this year.
