Entrepreneur Richard Caring – owner of restaurant group Caprice Holdings – has bought the building housing celebrity haunt The Ivy, following his acquisition of the restaurant earlier this year.

Caring reportedly paid £12m for the building, which features the 10,000sq ft (930sq m) restaurant, office space and two flats.

Caprice Holdings owns The Ivy, J. Sheekey, Le Caprice, Daphne’s, Bam-Bou and Pasha, which were bought from Signature Restaurants in July for an estimated £20m.
