Jeremy Beard has been appointed the new chair of Sport Taekwondo UK, the performance arm of the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB) that is responsible for all aspects of Taekwondo related to the Olympic Games.

As chair, Beard will be part of the team that leads the sport through to the Olympics and will ensure that the elite athlete programme of Olympic Taekwondo delivers its performance goals.

His role will also require him to strengthen the National Governing Body's (NGB's) governance processes and finances in order to support the achievement of its objectives.

Beard is currently a partner at accountants Haysmacintyre.
