Fatal incident at North Wales attraction
An investigation has commenced after an 11-year-old boy was killed when he fell from a zip wire ride at Greenwood Forest Park in Y Felinheli, Gwynedd, North Wales.
North Wales Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched a probe into the fatal incident, which occurred on Easter Sunday (24 April). Greenwood Forest Park has reopened to the public today (26 April) and insisted that the zip wire - along with all other equipment - was in "good condition" prior to the accident.
A spokesperson for the attraction said: "We are cooperating fully with the police and the Health and Safety Executive in their investigation. "We have always put safety as our number one priority and we are determined to understand fully what has happened."
