Steven May, who started as a lifeguard at Mytime Active, has been appointed CEO
Mytime Active has appointed Steven May as CEO. Previously operations director, he was working as interim MD following the departure of Jason Stanton in February.
With more than 27 years' experience in the sector, May is now tasked with delivering Mytime Active’s strategic vision, strengthening community engagement and ensuring the organisation continues to help people get more out of life.
This will include driving innovation in health and wellbeing services and advancing the organisation's mission as a social enterprise and independent charity.
Isobel Gowan, chair of Mytime Active, said: “We're committed to improving life outcomes for individuals and Steven’s leadership, combined with his deep understanding of the organisation, will ensure we continue to deliver high-quality health and wellbeing services across our communities.
“Steven’s journey with Mytime Active is inspiring. He began his career with us 27 years ago, completing work experience and training as a lifeguard at our own Walnuts Leisure Centre. Now, as CEO, he brings his unique understanding of the organisation from the ground up.”
May said: “This organisation has been a part of my life since the very start of my career, and I'm deeply committed to its mission. I look forward to leading our fantastic team, driving innovation and strengthening our partnerships to ensure we continue to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. This is more than just a professional milestone, it’s an opportunity to create lasting change in people’s lives.”
