THFC chair reaffirms club's plans to relocate
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club will move from its current White Hart Lane home even if its bid for the Olympic Stadium fails, according to chair Daniel Levy.
Levy told Sky Sports News that the Premier League club is going to have to look for a new home after plans to redevelop its current home were no longer viable. "The problem with the current situation that we are in now at White Hart Lane is that the project is currently not viable, so we would have to go back to the drawing board," he said.
"That would obviously mean looking at other locations again." THFC - in partnership with O2 Arena operator AEG - is bidding to take over the Olympic Stadium, alongside West Ham United Football Club and Newham Council.
A decision on the venue's future has been delayed by the Olympic Park Legacy Company.
