NT unveils new Monopoly game

By Pete Hayman    30 Sep 2009

A number of iconic National Trust (NT) properties, including Lyme Park in Cheshire and Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire, have been included as part of new version of the Monopoly board game.

The charity version of the game also includes a number of NT countryside sites, including Snowdonia in North Wales, among a total of 26 properties and locations from across the UK. Instead of purchasing houses and hotels, players will have the opportunity to build visitor centres and holiday cottages on properties they own, while the grouping of locations - countryside, beaches, mansions, gardens and industrial works - reflect the range of sites under NT ownership.
