Cameron House set for £25m revamp
Resort operator De Vere has announced that it will invest a further £25m in improving the facilities at its Cameron House golf and spa resort on Loch Lomond.
As part of the plans, the 18th century baronial manor house will be completely refurbished and a new extension will add a further 35 bedrooms and four suites to the 96 rooms.
Other new features at the resort will include the Whisky Room, offering guests the choice of over 300 whiskies.
The announcement comes as De Vere is preparing to launch a 47,360sq ft (4,400sq m) spa at the site.
Due to open on 1 July, the spa will boast 17 therapy rooms and a rooftop, outdoor infinity pool. Treatments will use Carita and Kerstin Florian products.
Philip Mahoney, general manager of Cameron House, said: “The launch of the spa, coupled with the major refurbishment of the hotel itself means that the resort will be one of Scotland’s most exciting new luxury resort hotels.”
Located on the south-west shores of Loch Lomond, Cameron House offers views across the Loch to the Luss Hills and Ben Lomond, which at 3,300 feet, is the most southerly of the Highland Munro.
