Europa-Park to build fifth hotel
Europa-Park theme park in Rust, Germany – already one of the largest theme parks in Europe – has announced plans to build its fifth resort hotel.
To be called Bell Rock, the hotel will target the luxury visitor and will be themed and designed according to architecture associated with New England, US.
Scheduled to open in 2012, the hotel will have 225 bedrooms and also offers six suites in a New England-style, 35m high lighthouse.
At the front of the hotel will be a marine-themed esplanade, offering visitors “splashy adventures” with a 2,000sq m (21,500sq ft) water area and a 300sq m (3,200sq ft) ship-like pool area with indoor and outdoor pool and water playgrounds.
Facilities also include a large spa and wellness area.
