Klafs to move Thermarium division to Germany
Spa equipment manufacturer Klafs will integrate its Thermarium division into the company’s corporate structure and headquarters in Germany, closing Thermarium’s Tirol, Austria location.
Klafs acquired Thermarium – which also manufactures spa equipment, but has a planning and consulting arm as well – last year, but has continued to operate it independently.
“For reasons of efficiency, the spa division of Klafs will act solely from Schwaebisch Hall, Germany,” said Stefan Schoellhammer, CEO of Klafs. “That’s why this is accompanied by the closure of the Thermarium location in Buch in Tirol, Austria. Nevertheless, the company Thermarium will remain as an independent company, and will fulfill their obligations towards their clients.”
Adrian Egger, who has been managing director of Thermarium, will step down from that position mid-year due to the changes, he said, and is looking for “a new and exciting professional challenge on a national or international level.”
Thermarium recently worked on the huge Norwegian spa project The Well, a three-storey, 10,500sq m (113,000sq ft) spa complex located just outside Oslo.
