Six floor Tyrolian ‘world of wellbeing’ undergoes luxury refurbishment
Luxury health and spa resort Preidlhof in South Tyrol, Italy, will re-open on 1 April following a €6m ($6.44m, £5m) refurbishment that includes the addition of suites with 'spa loggias.'
Overseen by Austrian designer Reinhard Köck, the resort will unveil 36 new luxury suites and five luxury penthouse suites, bringing the total number of rooms to 70. The suites will all feature spa loggias and some include whirlpools and private saunas, while the penthouse suites each have an outdoor cinema and the Luxury Penthouse Suite DolceVita Premium Star has its own private pool.
The new accommodation is situated within an entirely new building that incorporates a new entrance and reception area, with a dedicated ‘Adventure’ check-in and concierge service.
The existing 5,000sq m (53,819sq ft) spa and wellness facilities at Priedlhof include a six floor ‘spa tower’ dedicated to 16 different sauna, steam and relaxation experiences, as well as 14 spa treatment rooms.
The wellness programme offers an integrated preventative, holistic and medical healthcare programme. Central to Preidlhof’s philosophy is the Mediterranean ‘Good Life’ – La Dolce Vita – which is interwoven into its offering.
Four basic modules - Detox, Vital Age & Rejuvenation, Health Check and Perfect Shape - can be individually adapted to guest’s needs. Additional packages include High-End Beauty; Medi-Check and Status Diagnosis & Checks.
The ‘spa book’ offers a comprehensive range of holistic therapies including life coaching; hypnosis; ‘Stress yourself Healthy’ consultation; shiatsu; craniosacral; emotional stress relief; tui na; Thai yoga; osteopathy; chiropractic; visceral osteopathy; physiotherapy; lymphatic drainage; acupressure; acupuncture, and infusions. Guests can also choose from activities including personal training; yoga; fascia training; functional balance training; respiratory training, and kineisiology taping.
Also on site are five indoor and outdoor pools, three spa baths, a wellness garden with more than 50 lemon and olive trees, a meditation pavilion, silence lounge, relaxation room, vitamin lounge and deep sea relaxation room.
Located in Naturns, Preidlhof is built into the hillside, interspersed with orchards, vines, olive trees and subtropical plants as typified by the region.
