The Annandale & Eskdale Leisure Trust is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its appointment by Dumfries and Galloway Council to operate leisure facilities in the area.

The not for profit trust manages four leisure centres, Annan swimming pool and three public parks. "The Leisure Trust is committed to supporting projects and activities which help promote and develop leisure and sport across the community, with an emphasis on service provision and accessibility," said Alan Barlow, managing director of the Annandale & Eskdale Leisure Trust.

"We've seen tremendous success during our past 10 years at the helm and have encouraged more people to get involved. The support and fundraising efforts of the local community have enabled us to introduce new activities and to greatly improve the facilities." Over the past decade, the trust has injected £1.5m into leisure services through fundraising and sponsorship.
