A US$5m (£3.1m) expansion is being planned for the Imagine Children's Museum in Everett, Washington, US.

The proposals involve turning an adjacent parking garage into exhibition space, which will add 7,500sq ft to the museum.

The new building will host travelling exhibits and the museum has already raised most of the money, being just US$1m short.

Construction is expected to take around four months and the museum will operate as usual while the building work is carried out.
