Jana Powers has been named spa director at The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With 19 years of experience in spa, wellness and hospitality operations management, Powers brings a skillset in employee development, revenue generation and creation of spa menus and wellness programmes to the hotel.

As spa director, she will oversee and manage all facets of spa operations and work to develop and enhance guest experience at The Spa at Ballantyne.

“Jana’s business acumen and approachable management style have positioned her well to lead our spa,” said Peter Grills, general manager. “We look forward to aligning Jana’s expertise with our ongoing commitment to improving the guest experience.”

Most recently, Powers was spa director at The Spa at Eilan at Eilan Hotel and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Before that, she worked as spa director for Rhode Island’s OH! Spa at Ocean House.

The 20,000sq ft (1,858sq m) Spa at Ballantyne has been open since 2002 and offers traditional treatments including massage, facials, body treatments, manicures and pedicures.
