The Shredquarters has announced the launch of a new boutique franchise brand called Fuse, with the first location in Beaconsfield UK.

The Beaconsfield site is a reskinning of an existing Shredquarters club and soft opened in July as Fuse, following a refit with the new concept.

Where Shredquarters is a one-studio model, Fuse – at 370sq m – is a two-studio concept, so the first club has doubled its footprint with the addition of a new floor.

Fuse boutiques have both a HIIT and a mind-body studio, offering strength and conditioning, Reformer and mat Pilates, yoga and barre.

Packages cost £40 a week for unlimited classes across both studios – including reformer Pilates – with other membership options ranging up from £18/week for a single studio membership twice a week and pay-per-class options also available.

A Fuse Wellness Journey starts with a Seca body composition assessment to enable personalised goal-setting, followed by bespoke class recommendations and tailored nutrition plans for members, with monthly progress checks to track results.

Adam Waters, CEO of Fuse,, said: “We’ve created six mind-body and four HIIT programmes that are delivered in an engaging space, using cherry-picked equipment and led by top instructors.

“Reinforcing this, we’ve created three streams of CIMSPA-accredited Pilates Reformer training for our instructors in collaboration with Gill Drummond at governing body EMD UK (Exercise, Music Dance).

“All of this is delivered to the consumer at an affordable price, marking a strong USP in the boutique segment.”

Franchise sales will start this week with payments including £30k for the branding pack, training and territory, as well as an average of £100k for the build.

When rent deposits and the initial equipment pack are added, franchisees will need around £250k to get started, with £100k of this being self-funded and the remainder being borrowed through Fuse banking partners such as Nat West.

Monthly fees have been set at seven per cent, plus two per cent for marketing and two per cent for business development.

The company says it’s aiming to roll out the concept in the UK, with Waters saying: “We believe the potential exists for 30 Fuse clubs in the UK over the next three to five years.”

A second Fuse location will open in Richmond, London in early 2025.

The Shredquarters currently has 15 other franchises running, in addition to the Beaconsfield location, with a new site opening tomorrow (1 October) in Chelmsford. It has partnered with equipment supplier Physical to deliver the Fuse brand.
