Alton Towers, one of the leading UK amusement parks, is about to launch its latest attraction – a fully equipped spa.

The new facility – open to guests of the two hotels at park -– Alton Towers Hotel and Splash Landings Hotel – will include seven treatment rooms, a Roman sauna, an aromatic crystal steam room, foot baths, a swimming pool, whirlpool, a tepidarium (warm bath) and multi sensor showers.

Visitors can alter the aromatics in the sauna and steamroom at the touch of a button, while the treatment rooms offer Arabic-style mud baths, full body massages, reflexology, reiki, body wraps and clay treatments.

The treatment ranges are provided by Decleor, Elemis and St Tropez.

Accommodation for the spa will be plenty, as the two hotels have a combined total of 383 bedrooms.

The spa is for adults only, and looks to offer an alternative attraction to the wide range of rides and entertainment facilities for which the park has become famous.
