Dutch operator Trainmore, which charges members less the more they work out, opened its ninth club on 5 January.

Located in the centre of Groningen, the 2,000 sq m club has been equipped by Technogym and offers gym, group exercise, virtual classes, CrossFit, boxing, tanning and physiotherapy.

If members visit the gym twice a week, the cost drops by 50 per cent to €4.95 a week. If they come three times a week, they pay just €1.95 a week.

Another one or two Trainmore sites are expected to open in 2016. Owner Han Doorenbosch also operates one club under the Clubsportive brand.
