Von Essen announces Verta opening date
Hotel and resort operator Von Essen has finally announced the opening date for its Hotel Verta property in London.
The hotel was originally scheduled to open in June 2009, but the project has been delayed a number of times due to problems in the excavation of the site.
Although Von Essen was handed the keys to the property back in February, the hotel will not open to guests until 12 September 2010.
The 70-bedroom hotel is part of the £150m Bridges Wharf development and, according to the group, will be the first integrated hotel heliport solution in Europe.
The hotel also offers a subterranean spa called Spa Verta.
The spa will offer a hydro-vitality pool consisting of air loungers, air seat, standing air station and two neck massage stations, sanarium, heated lounges, steam room, sauna, gym and signature spa treatments in the four therapy rooms.
There will also be a grooming room, while the lead brand for the spa’s treatments will be product house Anne Semonin.
